Game day field prep:
1. All fields are dragged daily by Edina Park and Rec.
2. All fields are prepped between 1:00 and 3:00.
3. If the high school teams are utilizing the fields on one of our scheduled game days then the fields are not scheduled for field prep (pitching rubber, chalk lines, etc.).
4. We need to notify the city when we have a game cancelled/rescheduled so they don’t utilize resources to prep the fields that can be redeployed for other purposes.
5. We need to notify the city of when the game is rescheduled (preferably the Thursday and Friday the week before).
6. If we have a last minute change game cancelled and or game rescheduled prior to 1:00 the city should be able to accommodate our request for field prep.
What this means:
1. Every team will need to be able to prep the fields should your game fall onto a scheduled High School game day (designate a Field Parent).
2. If your game was scheduled on a day other than a High School game day and was not prepped please click on the Field Not Prepped notification above.
3. Communicate with the Field Scheduler and the city of any schedule changes by clicking on the Game Cancelled or Game Rescheduled notification above (Umpires need to be notified no later than 1:00 pm of game day of cancellation or reschedule or EGFA will be charged).
In order to prevent EGFA from being charged for cancelled games (umpires) you must notify the EGFA field scheduler by 1:00 pm on game day.
In the event the Umpire does not show you will need to:
